Tacey's trip to the ER April 7th-8th 20009 Ramstiein, Germany

This is what happened yesterday... Tacey was twirling around in her room and came down on her leg causing a spiral break on the tibia of the right leg. She was screaming and no one could calm her down. no swelling occurred so Kristen told Gary that they should take her to the emergency room. It was a good thing that they decided to take her. When we saw her last she was screaming and then when she came home was a little quieter until the morphine wore off and she couldn't keep under control. The doctor at the hospital told them that this kind of a break hurts like h.... and if she couldn't control it with the drugs they RX'd for her to bring her back in and they would put the IV back in and put her back on morphine. She was up screaming until about 1:30am. they dressed themselves and got ready to go to the hospital again then gave her some more drugs and Gary and Dad gave her a Priesthood Blessing. They took her to the car and then decided not to take her to the hospital because the drugs had kicked in and she was sleeping and seemed to be able to control the pain. They were told to take her to the hospital at 7:30 am. They got there about 6.50am and they didn't have the orders for Tacey and they basically forgot about her until 8:00am. They didn't have to operate because the break was in line. They let Tacey pick out the color of her cast and it was Purple. When she came home she was hurting and very irritable and bossy. Finally the new drugs kicked in again and she went to sleep for a few hours and woke up again screaming.... She was put into her bed and was very irritable because it was still hurting. Finally Gary went and slept beside her and she went to sleep for several hours. Not getting any sleep was not to her benefit. Nor anyone Else's. Everyone was tired. This afternoon she was doing better. Ate dinner and is now able to watch a movie without hurting or having that distraction.
Needless to say we did not leave for Holland this morning at 7:am as planned. I don't know if we will get to go now or not. Kind of threw a wrench in our plans. She goes back to the doctor's on Tuesday the 14th of April 2009. Aaron is out of school this week for spring break. So we will see if we have an opportunity to go any where else.
Up to now It has been a great experience and I will write about it later this week.

Briettney is trying to teach me how to use this crazy blog thing.

So here goes.... Today I am still in my PJ's and it's 1:33 pm. I have a list of thing to do but I haven't started any of them. I finished reading everyone's addition to their blogs or face books. My typing is something to be desirable and if I put in a few character that don't belong there or are missing just remember that I'm an antique....
I guess I need to change my strategy and pray for spring and warmer weather. It worked for the snow so here I go again. Really spring is just around the corner look outside and find there are flowers coming up through the snow.
My yard is looking like the pasture for the deer. They have grazed on all my shrubs and plants. I guess this will be a replanting year. If I find the time.
Next week Scott and I go to Atlanta, Ga again. Another all day filight. This has been a great adventure. I need to try to get James and Steve involved.
We leave for Germany the night of the 24th of March after work. Fly by Southwest to Seattle spend the night then leave by American Airlines in the morning for the East Coast 5 hours later and then onto Frankfurt, Germany this is a 10+ hour flight. This is going to be a long day. Dad is going to really hate this. They are 9 hours ahead of us and we will need to try to sleep on the plane ( fat chance). I'm going prepared though I have my i-touch and am filling it full of movies. Actually this is really for grandpa. I love to read. I am starting the Twilight books.
It's time for me to get going so I had better leave this as is and get something done.
